Firmware Updates

Just a quick question - do all QM2000 board firmware updates have to be done by Pangolin or is there another way?
The reason I ask is that I tried to change the IP address of the QM2000.NET and I get an error telling me my firmware doesn't support it.

Regards,
Mike

Unless there has been a change, as I recall all firmware updates need to be done by Pangolin.

As for changing the IP - I have no information on this. But would think that if you are changing it the right way and it told you your firmware didn't support this, that this might be the case.

Try contacting Pangolin, to verify if you need to get new firmware, and that only they can do it:

Also, you may want to look at this page, for return shipping information if this is the case.

Hi Mike,

We might be able to send you a special file to update your firmware. Please contact us directly about this and be prepared to give information about your serial number and "firmware date" as reported in the ABOUT box of either LD2000 or Showtime.

Best regards,

William Benner

  • Boards with serial number lower than around 7000 need to come to Pangolin for a hardware and software update.
  • Boards around serial number 7000 to 7400 might benefit from only a software update.
  • Boards over 7400 will work directly.
