Recording Laser

I have done a couple of cool laser shows, and I have been trying to take a video of it, with no such luck. It might chatch the laser as it goes past the camera, but thats only for a second or so.

I'm just wondering if any of you guys have tried recording a laser or if you know of a good camera that could do it.

I have tried it with the following:
To think that the Sony is a good camera, and my phone as a good camera on it, they don't seem to be able to take good decent still images of the laser either :?

Have you ever tried to switch off automatic white balance on your cam ? This will do in most cases the trick.

I made my pictures in the following way...
I run the show a couple of seconds and the freeze it. The beams will hangin the air and i take a picture with an exposure time of about 2 seconds, change your shuttertime to this.
Also, are you using a hazer or a smokemachine ? The beamexposure with a hazer is much brighter.

Hopefully this will help.

Greetings,

Marco
