Saving and importing a write out effect into Showtime

I want to insert a write out effect into my show in showtime. I have drawn the graphic in LD 2000 and applied a write out effect to it and clicked 'OK'. It looks great when clicking 'Run Effect' but when I open the frame in Showtime the effect does not seem to be there when droped onto the time line. I know this is probably something basic but I am a new user and just need a bit of help?

Drag your frame to a track
Click on the - Edit effect - button (on center left from your tracks)

Click to add an effect – select visible points

You will find more details in the help file – under Edit effect
