Hi all,

This forum is where you post questions and comments about the QM2000 board. For those who don't know, the QM2000 is our PCI plug-in card for control of lasers. The QM2000 is a powerful board with its own DSP/RISC processor, memory and peripherals. The QM2000 can be seen on our web site here: http://www.pangolin.com/LD2000/qm2000board.htm

We don't get too many questions about the QM2000 at Pangolin, with the possible exception of how to connect the color signals. In general, we recommend that most people connect the negative color outputs (pins 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23) to ground pin 25. Although there are exceptions to every rule, this seems to give the best results for most people. Note that unlike the negative outputs from the X and Y, the negative outputs from the color signals use a different circuit and therefore it is possible to connect the negative outputs, or even the positive outputs, directly to ground without problems.

Please post your questions or comments here.

Best regards,

William Benner
