10mW 635nm Red Dot Laser Module Beam Intensity is Too Bright

I have just installed the 635nm 10mW red dot laser modules and I found that their intensity is too bright. Is there any way to dimmer them?
The laser is got here: http://www.berlinlasers.com/635nm-red-laser-diode-module
The target is only 400mm from the source and the beam is very powerful and causes discomfort to the eyes. I have tried a much lower voltage 1.5V DC power supply, but too lower voltage cannot support it.
Is there any other method selectable to make laser beam dimmer?

I think this module is not analog.
The modules with analog driver can adjust the brightness up and down.
(Analog driver regulates electric current (milliampere))
If you know how then you can replace the module driver or other tip, you can put laser to the light "beam splitter", which reduces the brightness.
