animation help needed and hello from uk

Good evening,

what a great site - plenty of usfull tips and tricks but i can seem to find how to create and animation like the one of the pepsi logo at 1.20 in this video:

i need to produce similar but am having trouble working out how!
i hope some one can help!

You can accomplish this by using a "Write Out" effect.
This takes a single frame and then draws it in, point by point until the complete frame is displayed. :)
 
To do the write out effect use the Visible Points tool in the effect editor. Start the effect with the bottom slider at 0, and end the effect with the slider at 100.
