ArtNet and zone-level overrides

For my scenario I have 2 lasers, each has one projection zone.

I have configured SoundSwitch to incorporate Art-Net, and by looking at the DMX monitor, I can see channel data flowing into BEYOND.

I have set up the DMX Server profile per zone. I have tried every DMX profile, even a custom one, but I do not see my zones/lasers respond to the signals.

What I was hoping for, is that the intensity/brightness of my SoundSwitch autoloops/autoscripts will control the brightness of a laser. This way, SoundSwitch will be "in charge" of the brightness while performing live. This could be pretty amazing because SoundSwitch generates chases, strobing, etc, per track, without having to make a custom timeline in BEYOND, and everything will be in sync.

Besides brightness, I want to override the Red, Green and Blue values per laser, so that the lightshow controlled by SoundSwitch will make the laser show more complementary.

So basically I can't make it work and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Any insights?

I added some screenshots to explain my situation.

DMX Input 1: Art-Net 0.0
DMX IN enabled in BEYOND
I can see data getting into BEYOND.
I have configured a Zone to use the FB4SE profile. Channel 17 is the brightness/intensity.

Expectation: Zone one should be blinking (brightness is getting changed on the beat of the track played via SoundSwitch)

Reality: Nothing happens

Try the 16 channel profile first. The 39 channel has various 16 bit channels that require a specific setting. The 39 channel profile also requires a configuration setup to be done within the the dmx settings. This cause the 39 channel is completely made for DMX consoles with a double set of fixtures to address both setup and playback. The 16 channel operates directly without the need to "set up" the parameters.

Probably its even better to build a custom profile for this purpose, but as I do not have SoundSwitch my self, its not possible for me to test.

OK I tried going the 16 channel route. See attached screenshots. The brightness is sent by SoundSwitch to channel 5 (channel 1 is my starting DMX channel)

So Beyond receives the data by Art-Net. So far so good.

Here I picked the DMX server mode.

Still, I don't see the lasers fadein/fadeout to the brightness level being sent by Art-Net

I still feel I'm missing something here.

@Bob@Pangolin any more insights?

Still not working. However what I discovered might give you an direction where the problem is.

As a test I did the following:

Zone 1 (Laser 1): all beam related advanced settings unchecked (prevent mastersize/live control/number of points)
Zoen 2 (Laser 2): all beam related advanced settings checked

So this should mean that I should not be able to override colors etc with live control. Right? Well... I still can:
