Automating timeline editing?

Is there a way to script/automate editing a timeline? Could be either in Beyond, or editing the show file directly (through another program).

I know PangoScript can handle basic start/stop timeline functionality, but I’m not aware of anything more complex.

Sorry - should have better specified. Timeline editing is an extremely “click intensive” process. I’m curious if there’s a way to automate just the placement of cues, effects, and position/brightness/rotation/etc waveforms - and not actually be the “creative designer”. Think something along the lines of a smart Pango/python/C script that “already knows the content”, but is able to replace the very manual process of placing cues/effects/waveforms.

Yes, the show edit is it job and for good work time is needed.
The show edit is easy and fun in the Beyond timeline, but you need a manual job.
If you need the automatically "show" you can use function virtual Lj or FX table in realtime.

But the automatical beat marker (bpm) visualization in the time line is good idea in the timeline. :)
