Actually the situation is this. QuickShow has literally become a consumer product. You can find it on the shelves of Guitar Center and Sam Ash Music in the USA, on Thomann and Music Store in Europe, and countless other similar outlets all around the world. QuickShow is made for beginners who can't even spell laser properly. Nevertheless, we recognize that it has become a favorite of professional users as well, and so we provide certain settings for these professionals.
There are certain settings which -- when set incorrectly -- may damage your scanners or, at the very least, provide sub-optimal projected images. For that reason, we do not publish the full meaning of these settings (because beginners might misinterpret the settings, mis-adjust the settings, and get poor results) and instead, we invite customers to contact us directly, or attend one of the many meetings we have all around the world, to gain a greater understanding of what the settings mean and do.
And finally, the settings that you are asking about only affect certain images within QuickShow, and even then, only when not over-ridden by cue-specific settings. It's not so easy to give a quick answer to "what this slider does", because what it does depends on many other factors. If we are face-to-face in one of the many meetings we hold around the world during each year, or "face-to-face" on Skype, or at least conducting a back-and-forth discussion by email, a lot more quality information can be conveyed, and all of the little details can be discussed and covered, as well as how all of this relates to a customers' particular situation.
For all of these reasons, we invite you to contact us directly when and where you need answers not immediately found in the documentation.
Best regards,
William Benner
