Whenever I have the LaserShowDesigner running with no output going to the laser, the laser is still displaying a spot in the centre of the view area.
If I do send some output to the laser, the spot disappears and the output is shown correctly.
As soon as I clear the output, the spot reappears.
How do i get rid of it?

you have to redo your color palette
if you have a single color laser projector at some point you will have three sliders for three lines the bottom slider/line is your blanking make shoe that you do not see the bottom line
to be safe keep the bottom slider on zero

    Ah, that did it.
I previously had the bottom line set so that it was just below the visible threshold. Setting it further down fixed my problem and also fixed another problem of my blanked lines still being slightly visible.
