I work for venue with multiple exhibition halls. one of our bugbears is the time spent accurately marking out halls for rigging points, stands, electrics , water and waste etc.

My thought is that there must be a way that RGB lasers could be used to projected on the hall floor from a CAD imported floorplan.

anyone seen this or something similar?

LAsers would have to be hung from ceiling in a calibrated position and the CAD drawings mapped to each laser in order to cover the floorspace.

Getting you CAD drawing into a format that could be imported into our software would be the most difficult part from my perspective although that should not be too hard (others will have to advise if a quick response is wanted). Otherwise you'd just have to hang the lasers.
