Creating a backup or Export a show

Hi,

Is there an easy way to create a backup (or through an export or so) of the workspace, that includes the cues themselves that can easily be copied over to a backup machine?

Hi, Pauluzzz!
You can copy your Workspace file to any location.
By default, workspace file (file with the *.qsw extension) is located in the "Workspaces" folder in the "QS" folder.
Also, almost all "system settings" are located in the "System" folder.
It's a good practice to copy this folder too.

Thanks Igor, but wouldn't copying just the Workspace files exclude important folders like "MusicforShows" or "Shows"?

If your workspace contains a cue with a Timeline show, the show itself is saved in the Workspace file.
But the audio track is not.
Therefore, you also need to copy the folder with your audio tracks.
You can find out where your audio tracks are located in the Audio event properties.


In theory, they can be located outside the "MusicForShows" folder.
In general, it is good solution to copy all QS subfolders except the root one.
Although the root folder takes up very little space.
You just need to carefully check where your audio tracks are located and don't forget to copy these folders.
