Effects creation question

Hi,

I would just like to ask how do I create a simple "wave" effect in Showtime. Can I use a 'straight line' frame and throw in a effect to acheive this? or do I have to create a sine wave to do it? If so, how do I create a sine wave line in LD 2000?

You can use the abstract generator
Or you can make an animation that you draw by hand
Or you can take a wave from a beam show that comes with LD
 
The best way is to use a coil 3D frame. (that is if you have a Pro)

Draw a dense circle
Stretch it on Z axis
In Showtime, rotate it 25% in Y
Then Spin it in X

You can get more waves by copying and pasting the circle a few times before stretching on Z axis.
