Fresh and new - please help

Hi All,

i have never worked on any lasers or and I would nto know where to start, Please can some one please tell me what is needed to project images and TXT using lasers? I know I need a laser.. du, but software and hardware what is the min I need?

A laser will give you a beam
Scanners will move the beam to give you a laser effect or a laser animation
QM2000 - pci card will send the scanners analog signal
Showtime is the software to operate the QM2000
