Getting scan speed slower than 25%

Is it possible to take the scan speed of a cue/projector below the 25% speed that beyond has? I would really like to play with scan speeds more to create different FX. Ideally Id like to be able to take scan speed down to like 1% and see a single beam slowly(relatively) move in the shape of the cue.

If this isnt possible, why? Is this something that could be added in the future?

For clarity - I dont want the scan to stop, only to get it slow enough to 'break' the scan.
