Guitar Synthesizer with Midi with Beyond?

Hello Laser Friends,

I am a singer songwriter who uses a GR 55 guitar synthesizer with certain
songs when I perform.

I have been working with Quickshow and Beyond making shows for about
a year.

Now I would like to see if I can set up the Midi on my GR 55 to trigger
the vjay or certain shows or cues with a guitar string.

If anyone is in the SF Bay Area who knows about these things please
also contact as I will offer fee for service.

I think GR 55 should appear in PC as MIDI IN device. Select it in MIDI Settings dialog of QuickShow. In MIDI settings select the first note to guitar 6th string. QS react on NoteOn messages, so, it should work. QS has basic functionality, but you definitely should be able to start the cue.

You might have extra fun in BEYOND if GR 55 will appear as a sound card in Audio devices. I tried in the past FFT analyzer and guitar (over TASCAM), it might give some interesting result.

What version of BEYOND you have? Essentials?
