How to accelerate two static beams slowly until they become a solid circle

We've all seen the Backstreet Boys in the sphere where a laser traces a circle on the video. How can I accelerate two beams rotating faster and faster until they become a solid circle?

I have a video I am tracing with an accelerating circle, and I want two beams to rotate faster and faster until they become a solid circle. I tried doing this by tracing frames of the video in the frame editor, but at a certain point the frame rate starts to phase and it becomes stroby. I tried keying a Z axis rotation, but again, it just starts phasing and does not become a solid circle. I was thinking of using a synthesized image, but how can I key the rotation speed to accelerate at a certain rate?

It seems perfectly logical to be able to make the scanners do this, I'm sure I could get it to happen using something like touchdesigner, but I need to upload a single cue into the FB4 to be triggered by timecode. Any ideas?

You can use a video conversion tool to convert this video into a sequence of images, then import these images into laser software and align their positions frame by frame within the software. A quick method is to use madmapper software, which can enhance your work efficiency

You can do this quite simple directly in Beyond.
Just create a simple Frame with two dots.
- place into Timeline
- add a rotation key effect with very high rotation value in Z
- set the change rate of rotation to „accelerate“

To have this illusion perfect, I would add another frame with a real circle as follower cue in the timeline and smoothly blend the first cue with the rotating dots into the second one with the circle (the circle needs to have the same diameter as the rotating dots of course).

Simple trick but effective
