My PC had a HD failure so I've now put a new HD in reinstalled Win 2000 SP2 and LD2000
But when I try and run either LD2000 or ST2000 it complains it can't see the QM2000 card (it's still in the PC) and suggests installing the drivers. When I tried this it crashed the PC
Also I get a message saying

the "Working Scanner" that is selected by the currently running application is not correct.
It is being corrected and set to "Scanner 1"
Please report this to Pangolin

Does this mean there's a card fault as well ?

Hi Mark,

The likelihood is that you did not install the driver correctly, or that you are not really using the correct driver. For example, it could be that you are trying to use an old Windows 95 driver for this Windows 2000 operating system.

The best thing to do is to contact Pangolin in this situation. Please do so using our contact form here:
