issue with importing FBX files into B3D

Hi there,

I have a simple animated object in 3DS Max that I am exporting to FBX format and trying to import into Beyond3D. The object imports in fine to B3D, and the keyframes import in, but the XYZ translations (movement) are not getting imported. When I import the FBX file back into 3DS Max, the animation imports in perfectly, so it isn't an issue with 3DS Max or the FBX format.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Everyone in the computer graphics world was excited and hopeful when FBX was first introduced, because it seemed that it would be a true, universal interchange file format. Unfortunately, there are "flavors" of the format and things that are not supported properly, by all platforms.

When we discover problems or when problems are reported, we are usually able to modify our FBX importer to work. But we must always have the files causing troubles before we can proceed.

Please send the files directly to us so we can analyze them and then find the problem.

Best regards,

William Benner
