Hi all

Did any one used Shangchai Dream laser
Or Neo Lasers

Do they have a nice beam
Is their analog modulation is good for 18K or 30K

Bill wrote that if you divide pps by 12 you get the right speed
So 18K divided by 12 is 1.5 KHz
Is this is right?

HI Aricha,

As a distributor for Neolasers I can tell you that these systems are very good value for money.
The green lasers they use they build themselves in their own cleanroom and have great performance.

Shanghai Dream Laaers I have no experience with, i'd suggest you just try them.

Hi Aricha,

If you divide the output rate in PPS by 12, you will get the -3db scanning bandwidth required to display the ILDA test pattern. This means that the -3db scanning bandwidth required to reproduce an ILDA test pattern at 30K is 30K / 12 = 2.5 kHz.

Note that this figure is not entirely revealing in the context of blanking or analog color modulation. We would recommend a -3db bandwidth of at least 10kHz for blanking or color modulation.
