Logo reveal effect

Hi!
I need to make an effect like this (Logo revealing on the screen, like it's burning by a laser):

I know that the second video was made in After Effects, but want to make it with LED screen and laser.
Can I make it in QuickShow or should I buy Beyond for it?
If I can make it in QS, can you please give me a hint, which tool should I use?
