Negative Timecodes?

Will the QM2000 board complain if it is given a negative time over the RS-232 line? Our current timecode network puts out ASCII timecode (THH:MM:......) once a second, but it starts out ~10 mins before the show and "counts down" to the start of the show (T-00:10:.....), which naturally occurs at 00:00:00.00, then commences counting up as one would expect. (This is so we can ensure all devices are properly syncing to the signal before the actual show starts.) Do I need to somehow suppress the negative times between the timecode reader and the QM2000 host?

The QM2000 has nothing to do with timecode, really. What you are talking about would influence the LD2000 programs, not the QM2000 board.

In any event, yes, the Showtime program will accept "negative" timecodes with no problem. You should see the Timecode setup window for more information.
