Object (projection surface) as background?

Hello,

I am waiting for delivery of my first 2W RGB + CTI6215 laser projector and Pangolin LD2000Pro.
..so I still have no experience with pangolin software but I have one question about..
This laser projector will be used mainly for corporate event celebrations, trade events and advertising projections.
What I am interested for; Is it possible to place picture of object (view from projector position) on which show will be projected as "background" in LD software just to help to tailor projections/animations to shape/positions on noted object.

-something like this (with picture of tover as background in LD software) ..?

I new at using pangolin software! But I think this can be done with "projector zones" in pangolin. link here is an movie for it.
I may be wrong.
