Outdoor Winter Show

Hi,

Can anyone tell me any of the precautions or things to be aware of in terms of setting up laser equiptment outside during the winter, possibly in snow or snowy weather.

Thanks Again.

I am not sure the respose you will get from our support forum on this; our office is in Orlando Florida and we don't see much snow here.

I would register at another forum, Photonlexicon.com; there are many professional and high level amature laserists there and I can bet several of them will know what precautions you should take for an outdoor show in the snow.

If snow falls on the warm projector it will melt and flow inside. It's like putting it on the rain.

If you have DPSS green laser - this type does not like cold. If it is colder than about +10°C it will not turn on at all.

That's basically everything that can go wrong.
Oh yes and working with LivePro will be problematic because of the cold fingers...
