Pangolin Flasfback 3 Card

Hello Fernando,

Well of course we remember you. Herman and I occasionally bring up your name when we are discussing the market in South America.

There are two different Flashback boards. Both boards are similar, but they do have some differences noted below:

The Flashback 2 has two color channels, nominally red and green. The Flashback 2 currently has a daughterboard that can control TTL or PWM/Analog outputs and this board can also facilitate infrared remote control. This is a good choice for a single color or two color projector. Under some circumstances (depending on volume, etc.) the Flashback 2 may be a bit less expensive.

The Flashback 3 has three color channels, nominally red, green and blue. In addition, the Flashback 3 also has an Intensity and Shutter output. This board is a little more modern since it is our latest design. The current daughterboard that we have supports control by either MIDI or DMX512. This is a good choice for projectors that are intended to be controlled by DMX or MIDI.

Both boards can also be controlled by RS-232 serial port and have some limited TTL controllability as well. I can send you (or anyone else who is interested) a document that describes the Flashback boards in detail. We will have a web page setup for this soon...

Pricing for the Flashback boards is highly dependent on pricing since these are OEM devices. Any pricing inquiries should be directed to sales@pangolin.com

Hi,

I'm just wondering where, if at all, one could find a 256mb smart media card. From what i recall, references are made to flashback being able to support this, i can't remember wher ei saw this though.

I cannot find any however.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. 128mb is a bit too small still...

I had heard about pre-release of these some time ago. I had assumed they would be coming on the market "soon", but I have not seen any myself... Perhaps if you contact a memory specialist like Kingston they could be of help.
