power of the laser

hello, i bought 2nd hand laser (rgb) but how can I see what is his power ?
There is no identification plate ... can I test this in a simple way...

Thanks in advance

You cannot determine the power of a laser by looking at a plate.

It depends on much more factors, as for example, how the drivers are tuned, how clean are your optics, how the beam path is buildup. Even the brand laser is important as its known that some large companies claim output which the laser can never reach.

The best way to determine the output power is placing it in front of a Laser Power Meter. This is also needed to determine the MPE of your laser. Which determines how to handle your laser in regards to safety for you and the audience.

If you not own a Laser Power Meter, it might make sense to visit a LEM in your country , on almost all Lem's is at least 1 power meter available. And my bet is that someone can help you.
