Quick Capture Issue

Hi All

While helping a member of PL forum, I have found you cannot make captures of cues that are copies of other cues (even if an original is captured and a local cue is made from it). This means if you want to make cues based on statics for example, modify them using QFX, and save the results as elements to be used to make one mixed cue, you can't.

Is this a bug?

No, this is the way it was intended. You will want to copy the QuickFX effect and apply/paste it to the cue directly through the Effect tab in the live control area, then drag that "new" cue into QuickCapture with another cue to combine them.

I would personally make a copied cue of the static you want to change with an effect, highlight the QuickFX you want to use so its components are shown in the Effect tab, copy the components by right clicking on the effect tab and selecting copy whole effect, then highlight the copied static cue, go back to the Effect tab, that should now be empty, right click and select paste effect. Now you have a new cue that can be used ina QuickCapture.
