What you describe is definitively an advanced feature. The option self is available in BEYOND, but not highly recommended to use.
There are tons of effects in BEYOND, to map all of them you will need thousands of buttons and sliders.
QuickShow is meant to make Quick easy to make laser shows in an easy to understand and for everyone usable applicatio . The options you search, you can find in BEYOND.
QuickShow its big brother, and there we provide additional controls where you can really mix with all FX layers without the need of mapping those 1000's of buttons and sliders.
We do provide an upgrade path to easily go BEYOND.
