Run network.exe as service

Hi,

my pangolin workstation is based in a small server room. For programming shows I use my main pc which is connected to the pangolin workstation via Ethernet. If I want to program a show, I have to start the network.exe on my pangolin workstation via remote desktop or something like this. Would it be possible to run the network.exe as service? - This would be very helpful.

I searched google for a solution...and I found some information about srvany.exe out of the microsoft windows resource kit, but using this is very complicated.

Maybe there's a better solution...?

Thanks,
Tobias

Hi Tobias,

I don't know much about "Services" myself. What you are proposing may be possible. If there is anyone with programming experience, or experience with "Services", please contact us and we will see if we can collectively help Tobias.

srvany.exe is what I was going to recommend.

Whats difficulat about it ? it took me all of 3 minutes to get it working...

you just need to follow the instructions, enter the application path of pangolin into the registry key for it, and it will run, and in turn, launch the pangolin app as if it were itself a native service...
