    Hi
Not many years ago we were very careful to turn on or off the scanners only when a dac is connected and no image is being sent to the scanners.
Are the scanners have protections now?

    Thank you

We can't say *every* scanner has protections. After all, we routinely see projectors with Chinese scanners fail even while they are projecting and nothing is being turned on or off!

Nevertheless, ScannerMAX scanners have inherent protections, plus the Mach-DSP servo driver has many fault detectors including power supply, and will safely shut down the scanners when the servo driver detects that the power supply is being removed.
