software Problems

i have had my unit since last November every thing has been fine until Friday.
my laser works fine on stand a loan.
but when i run the program it will not allow me to see anything in the view window.
when i plug the FB3 in it connects then disconects within seconds .
sometime it comes up with the firmware is out of date. but unless we can get it to sync with the computer it's impossible for me to update
