Targets

Each of 32 beam positions can be directed to one single zone
So they can setup certain beams to go to a different zone

In the beam sequencer, it is possible to turn on two (or more) beams at the same time.

Ah, I've just noticed that each individual target can have its own zone. So I just need to create 2 identical sets of 16, job done!

It's a bit odd that the workspace comes with target cues, but they are set up for 8 target points only, so you have to mess about a bit just to get them to work nicely.

One more question: is it possible to fade the target beams on and off rather than just switching on and off?

No fading as far as i know of,

But you can always create an additional step with a darker color.

brightness

In the live control color tab. You can control the brightness on any frames except targets. I know when you first program you can control the intensity, but it seems I cannot control it with the brightness slider in the color tab. Did I miss something.

Click on the large block in the lower left corner,
Then you can select every color you like..

Also with brightness of that color.
