Within LC-Flash, what you do is select individual objects (or all objects) and then go into the object-specific point settings, and just use a more agressive point spacing settings. Normally this means you use a higher value (lower density) for the numbers in "point density for straght lines" and "point density for curved lines" parameters.
Regarding TraceIT, the capability exists to do the same thing, but you need to be pretty familiar with the program to figure it out.
