Which Laptop is best for LD2000?

I'm getting ready to buy a laptop in anticipation of purchasing LD2000 -- which laptop is best?? Would like to get a MAC, but it does not sound like it is easily compatible - what about Dell or HP?

Hello, I am using a macbook pro with parallels and a pangolin .NET : it is working but is very slow, each disk access is long , but it work... I hate the pc world, but I got a pc for LD2000...

I am using hp and it is working great
It is slow sometime because of the net work
Keep in mind the if you want to use the multimedia in Showtime with video you want a good video card to output vga

I'm running LD2000 and LivePRO, connected by ethernet to a QM2000.net, on a 5-year old Dell XPS laptop running Windows XP - and no problems at all !!

The LD2000 applications really don't require a whole lot of processing power, since the QM2000 board takes care of most of the image processing. Just about any Windows-based PC running Windows XP or VISTA will probably work fine for you.
