So here's my issue, simplified for clarity. Assume I have two projectors P1 and P2. P1 projects up into the air so its zone Z11 is set to be a square. P2 has to project two zones, Z21 has to be a square of identical size and relative position to Z11. Z22 points down towards the stage.
So because P2 needs more vertical coverage, in Projector Setup I have to make it taller than P1's projection zone. Now the aspect ratio of P2 is different from that of P1 so all of its zones need to be adjusted in height proportionally so that they still appear square? In other words, projection zones are scaled according to the geometry of the projector settings. That makes setup really fiddly because with many projectors with multiple zones there's a lot of scaling and moving required.
So is there a way to make "projector settings" unaffected by the geometry of the projector setup? Or is there a smarter way to do the setup that I'm missing?
