TouchDesigner Integration?

I am working on a show with someone running Beyond, and I am doing video visuals with TouchDesigner. We wanted to try out the TouchDesigner / Beyond integration but I can't see anything about how to make the connection between the two systems.

My TouchDesigner media server system can easily be networked with the computer they are using to run Beyond, but I see nothing in either UI about how to get the two to talk to eachother over the network. is it just Multicast based or something? no mention in any documentation on either side

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
Hello, same problem here, is possible to use two different server to run Beyond and touchdesigner or it must run on the same machine?

Unfortunately, no, it's not possible because the BEYOND API communicates with BEYOND via Windows messages from TouchDesigner, which will only work on the same machine.
 
We do need a good solution to have Touch Designer running on one system, BEYOND running on another, and have them communicate over the network. I'm working with a lighting designer using TD and we can't both be on the same computer. We may try writing a TD app that basically lets him tunnel in, but every app we develop/run is another possible point of failure, more system overhead, and one more thing to have to add to our pre-show checklist. We already had to write a TD app to convert Pioneer DJ Link timecode into ArtNet timecode just to get timecode into BEYOND.
